About Us
The Western GTA office (serving Mississauga, Oakville, Burlington) was opened by Tim Powell, CPCA, in October 2009 in response to what Tim felt was an overwhelming need for reliable, affordable, and most importantly respectful need for high quality care support services.
Tim first became sensitized to the need for a more compassionate approach to in-home care for seniors about eight years ago when the deteriorating health of both his mother and mother-in-law highlighted the very real lack of such support services. The need for truly caring and able help to enable seniors to live with dignity within the home in which they feel the most confortable was clearly acute.
Moving to the arena of in-home support was a significant, if not unanticipated choice for Tim. Leveraging over 15 years of industry knowledge and experience in the fields of safety and quality control and, honed by personal experience of in-home support deficiencies, Tim has a steadfast and passionate belief in the mission and vision of Living Assistance Services to provide the affordable and respectful assistance he would have wanted his own mother to have enjoyed.
Having obtained a Certified Professional Consultant on Aging designation in 2009, Tim and Living Assistance Services are now poised to focus on providing unrivalled homecare and superior customer service. The goal of enabling families to stay together and to enable seniors to maintain an independant lifestyle has never been more real.
